Mashups - they're the sublimation of pop music! This idea has long been around (check 2 Many DJs' tracks, or some background on Wikipedia), but it's really exploding these days. Under the motto "let's make this sound a little denser", it isn't exactly chillout stuff.

Now if somebody could just come up with a nice standard for mp3 tagging, things could even get interesting on last.fm. Great. Now, apart from the previously mentioned DJs I haven't really been listening extensively to mashups, but that might change.

Any recommendations on good mixes or mashup sites??
