Cinematic Sunrise is an American rock band signed to Equal Vision Records. It consists of Craig Owens and Bradley Bell, the vocalist and pianist, respectively, of the band Chiodos, along with Bryan Beeler (guitar), Marcus VanKirk (bass), Nick Martin (guitar), and Dave Shapiro (drums).

Owens and Bell had played under the name Cinematic Sunrise as a side project at least as early as 2006, although Beeler and Owens are the original members. Beeler also played in the group Class of ‘83; drummer Dave Shapiro was previously in Count the Stars, and Nick Martin sang in Underminded. The group differs significantly from Chiodos’s post-hardcore sound, playing more in the vein of pop rock and pop punk.[1] As Cinematic Sunrise, they are in the middle of a deal with Chiodos’s label, Equal Vision, in 2008.[2] The group’s debut EP, the misleadingly titled A Coloring Storybook and Long Playing Record, was released on May 13, 2008.[3][4] Beeler recorded, produced and engineered the EP. The EP dented the Billboard charts at #196 and hit #8 on the Top Heatseekers chart, as well as #26 on the Top Independent Albums chart.[5] The EP is being re-released in late October 2008, with two new songs.
