The Genius Of The Electric Guitar by Charlie Christian

I'm not much of a jazz connoisseur and find that I'm more interested in the idea of liking jazz than actually acquiring a taste for it. I bought this collection of Charlie Christian some time ago when I was trying to have a thorough collection of guitar greats. Going back to it now, I realize that this isn't like other "guitar great" albums full of "axe wielding", "guitar wankery" or unnecessary soloing, but instead is just a great jazz record. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes easy or "pop" jazz but doesn't want to have to think too much about why it's great.
