And for the record, it is groove, not thrash. The oft-mid tempo, the hardcore-ish vocals, the chugging guitars, the emphasis on groove and beat over sheer speedy aggression. It's definitely thrashy groove, but it's groove. Which is no judgement on it's quality, simply a statement of genre.

CC isn't early Sepultura, no, but to be honest, who really expected that? I didn't, nor did I want it. I'd rather a band progress than keep re-hashing (or trying to) old stuff. I think it's a great little album: groove/half-thrash with some really aggression and power, which is what I find lacking from actual Sepultura these days.
