Caliban (não se pronuncia “Calibân” como muitos fazem, e sim algo com “Kéli-ban”), uma das bandas pioneiras de metalcore na Europa com mais de 10 anos de existência. Seus álbuns mais conhecidos são The Undying Darkness, The Opposites from Within, Shadows Hearts, The Awakening e os tão famosos splits com a banda Heaven Shall Burn. Já se apresentaram em grandes festivais como “Ozzfest”, “Wacken”, “With Full Force” e “Gingantour”, que aliás, o próprio idealizador, Dave Mustaine (megadeth) convidou a banda. Recentemente, eles estão em nova tour promovendo seu último album, The Awakening.

I don't really know if the latest album is simply to boring and repetitive or too "progressive" in some parts that I can't really take a fancy for it :/ aber gut sind sie immer noch :) hoff mal, nächstes album wird entweder düsterer und progressiver oder noch poppiger. müssen sich für einen weg entscheiden

Caliban51, you're right in the sense that style of UD is pretty different from SaS, darker and depressive, but you must admit many riffs are way too similar and UD is different from what they've done before. I think that it's a coincidence two bands started playing similar style, but I'm pretty sure UD was musically inspired by SaS. Still, TOfW has almost all of elements of that knd of metalcore that SaS and UD are - who knows if AILD were inspired by it :) ps. I must say I'm not very familiar with Caliban's earlier works.

"UD was just AILD clone" lolol. Caliban, minus their last album, has always been a hateful band, making dark and depressive metalcore. That's certainly not the case for AILD, even though the guitar work is similar at times. But that's the unfortunate thing about listening to metalcore, it certainly isn't for the diversity, so don't even mention it.

Not really keen on their older stuff, but "Exit" is their best track for sure. Latest album is pretty good, UD was just AILD clone, not bad though. And btw red+white > brown
