Things I'm Excited For:
Who knows how long ago it was now but I heard a track that I really dug one morning. It didn't occur to me to mark it in any special way, I just looked at the artist and thought I'd remember to listen to it again later. Weeks past and I kept thinking about this song by Christina. I look it up on my iTunes and there is not a single artist with the name Christina, not a song and not an album. So, I lost the song. Well, today I found it thanks to last.fm. It was by Cristina and it came off the ze 30 compilation. Phew, what relief. The album is great... all this retro synth-pop, electro-funk and post-punk kind of stuff (any genre that has a hyphen basically). Anyway, the song was Things Fall Apart and it rocks.

I also went to a Mexican restaurant in Vancouver last week and they were playing a band called Caifanes. They are my new love. Their first album (self-titled) was a total rip-off of, er, tribute to The Cure. It's pretty rad. Imagine Robert Smith going to Mexico, learning Spanish, recording an entire album and doing some videos then returning to the States to continue on with life as normal. That's Caifanes. What a trip!

Vie 23 Oct – Corona Music Fest 2009

Me fui caminando con una vecina, amiga mía, que llevé al concierto llegando a las 6 de la tarde cuando apenas en las pantallas estaban pasando muchos videos musicales hasta que se llenó y eso de las 8-8:30 empezó el concierto.

Fobia

Tocaron unas cuantas canciones de las cuales no se les olvida que Revolución sin Manos, Veneno Vil y al final con El Microbito sería la constante para poner en caliente y alegres a la mayoria de los que estaban a punto de estar bien "pedos" en el evento.

Zoé

No hay mucho que decir, entre las rolas que muchos (e incluso yo) andaba cantando (ya sea bien o mal) comenzando con Reptilectric, Poli despues No Me Destruyas, Paula, y lo poco que recuerdo habia rolas de su antepenultimo disco rocanlover que a muchas chavas gritaron locas de la emoción, por ultimo se despidieron con Nada.

Jaguares

la banda que duró lo que restó del concierto hasta más de la medianoche, mis pies me estaban matando por estan parado casi 7 horas, eso si me gustó el tracklist Caifanesco, como Viento, Mátenme por que me muero, pero Saúl tocó muy pocas de las que me gustan como Te lo Pido por Favor, luego siguió con Afuera, La Célula Que Explota y al final tocó La Negra tomasa, durante las tocadas saúl y su banda le agradaba hacer muchos solos, en la cual la verdad me agradó XD, ni que decir de la gente de enfrente entre Body slamming, crowd surfing eso si em gustó, lo que no me gustó del evento era la verdadera falta de baños decentes y los decentes eran de 5 pesos, pero corona cumplió lo que quiso, mas de 500 litros de cerveza vendidos entre el todo el público, además jaguares sabe realmente como comportarse durante un evento como este xDD
