im embarrassed for them for making this album [2] they're literally forcing the trippiness. That awful intro spouting shit about Timothy Leary makes me cringe ugggghhh.

may have been the first CD I ever bought. Not too great compared to their earlier stuff, but still a decent album nonetheless.

It's a good album, it's just not great as a Butthole Surfers album. It's like, Death Proof is a good film, but you'd expect a lot better from Quentin Tarantino.

I'm somehow embarrassed at the very idea that someone is going to click on my library station and the first thing that plays is going to be "Dracula From Houston", but otherwise I sort of like this. Nowhere near their best, but the trip-hop vibe is kind of fun, and all the After the Astronaut tracks are in improved form. Still, it needs a little less pop and a little more insanity and Paul Leary (Junky Jenny In Gaytown and Turkey And Dressing are missed).

Honestly, I think this is a pretty good album. Co-writing with Kid Rock wasn't the best idea ever, but otherwise, this isn't terribly different from past Surfers material.
