"Why even bother releasing this? I'm reminded of the friend everyone has that forces you to listen to his shitty tracks on FruityLoops and thinks it's the best thing ever." Varg was only allowed to using only a synthesizer, and tape recorder to produce this album, i think it's quite good considering that. Also pretty cool how he strove for musical realism, and wrote realistic sounding compositions that can easily be performed on non-electronic instruments.

It's Dauði Baldrs, not Daudi Baldrs.

Seriously, this sounds like cut songs from the original DOOM.

Message me for a 16 bit / 44 kHz vinyl rip of this album. All tracks are individually split and have correct tags. I've uploaded the whole Burzum discography including Umskiptar in vinyl on sendspace. Get at me.

There is so much DOS-era video game music better than this.

I like parts of this, hopefully it will grow on me. it seems very reflective and solitary but maintains a similar aesthetic to the earlier stuff. however, there are several tracks that are wayy too medieval influenced and cheesy for me. kinda hard to listen to at parts.

I love this album to death. Hvis Lyset Tar Oss is the best, and for all the rest it's hard to choose, but this album has a special place for me. Especially the titletrack, I Heimr Heljar and Moti Ragnarokum are magnificent.

Last thing varg did worth listening to. Metal Burzum died in 93, the cunt needs to put his guitar down and make more minimalist synth music., Euronymous would have loved this album.
