No i kolejny rok z rzędu ułożył się już w okolicach marca, gdy Vikernes spłodził dzieło o nazwie Fallen. I bynajmniej nie okazało się ono upadkiem Burzum, gdyż po przeciętnym Belus, transowe Fallen znów ukazało w pełni zdolności Norwega. Hipnotyczne melodie, ciekawe teksty i niezwykła atmosfera wciągnęła bez reszty na cały rok. Drugie miejsce dla koncertówki Negury-cóż, nie przepadam za albumami koncertowymi, ten jednak brzmi momentami lepiej niż wersja studyjna poszczególnych utworów,a poza tym jest to rodzaj swoistego the best of epoki przed zmianami w tym rumuńskim bandzie. Na bardzo wysokim poziomie płytki wydali też Irlandczycy z Primordial- takie utwory jak Bloodied Yet Unbowed czy Lain With The Wolf mogą stać się klasykami gatunku- oraz, jak zwykle, Amerykanie z Mastodon, choć Hunter to album wyjątkowo spokojny, jak na wulkan emocji Mastodonem zwany. Praktycznie pierwsza dziewiątka to płyty ocierające się-przynajmniej momentami- o wybitność i nacechowane dużą dawką nieszablonowości. …

this one here is a diamond for me.. Jayne Amara Ross' beautiful spoken word + slow, mesmerasing ambient/post-rock soundscapes = real stunner!

♫ Regina: Soita Mulle
Regina came back and they had changed.. nice, hip, fit-to-club electropop turned into mellow dream pop and I simply adore it.. Iisa's voice just melts me <3 best Finnish album of 2011 with no doubts!

♫ Christina Rosenvinge: La Joven Dolores
simple and always so good 90s-ish lo-fi rock sonorities, Christina's sexy, soothing voice, español.. mmm

♫ Russian Red: Fuerteventura
at last Lourdes came up with new album.. her smooth, cute, fragile and by all means adorable folk ballads really gets me.. a definite daydreaming album..

♫ Sóley: We Sink
really good debut from Icelandic Sóley Stefánsdóttir.. simple, minimalistic piano songs, her voice and the accent.. just hooks me..
