It's not that they never meshed, richardneal, but that by all accounts (the band's and contemporaneous fans') they meshed insanely well live but never managed to capture that fire in the studio. Even without being able to go back in time and see their original lineup live, however, they've become one of my favorite bands ever. The Box Set outtakes & unreleased material helped a lot.

Great band, and so many unreleased gems too--the box set is such a blessing. Whatever Happened to Saturday Night, anyone? Or that gorgeous full-band rendition of Down Down Down? Or Stephen and Richie's demos Baby Don't Scold Me, Neighbor Don't You Worry, and We'll See... an embarrassment of riches, as they say.

This "Supergroup" produced some really great artist and mucis. Be sides Stephen Stils(C S & N) there was Richie Fury(Poco), of course Niel Young who later joined Crosby, Stills & Nash. Lim Messnia, Timothy B Schmit...their music bridges all time, nver gets dated.

They are so beautiful. I find out them through "For What It's Worth" and when I discovered fantastic psychedelicious music on first and second album, that song became least liked! Whatever band runned under the name of Crosby and Young is heaven-like.
