Happy Juneteenth from Texas y'all! Was just listening to Skin Deep and remebered what day it is. It don't mean a lot to the white folks like me but my girl friend makes a big deal of it. I had to explain why emancipation of the salves was June 19th in Texas...She wondered about the cruelty of people and I told her it was about money. Same now as then. Think about it y'all. I also, to my chagrin, saw him last month, along with the 'Legend in his own mind", Hey look at me I can almost do the Mick Jagger Strut ,all i know is 3 chords, so you guys in the rythym section cover for me,I hate to type his name. G. T-Good.What a waste!!! . Why in the world would any promoter put someone on stage,on the same stage no less , as Buddy Guy. I don't understand it and never will. Here you have the opportunity to see ( from 3rd row center) no less the best,arguably, I'll admit , Best Blues Man of our time, having to open for this no talent dribble. At least I didn't have to sit through his, Oh I don't know, set? Buddy Guy , and his recordings do not do him justice, WAS AWESOME to say the least. Mr. Guy , I say Mr. out of complete respect. Everything he did was great. He can play louder or quieter than anyone I've ever seen.I have been playing and singing the blues for 41 years and stealing licks from Buddy, a complete gentleman BTW, since I began.Hear the best here!!!
