Agreed. The Hammersmith Odeon '75 version is about as good as music gets. Knocks me out.

On the album this song is legendary, but live it is epic.

Possibly the most epic saxophone solo that I've ever heard.

He is the Boss for a reason. Seen him several times in concert one show was three and a half hours long. Total Bad Ass

OMG. I've been using last.fm for several years and Springsteen is one of my very favorite artists. I can't believe that today is the first time Jungleland was selected for my listening pleasure!

I'm with Ralfsu on this one. I adore The Boss and (almost) everything he does, but if some unpleasant person were to put a gun against my head and ask me "what is your favourite Bruce song of all time?", I guess this would be it. I mean, how can anything else be any better? This is just so wonderful - so, so wonderful........

The song itself plays like an opera doesn't it? :p

Man, there's an opera out on the turnpike, there's a ballet being fought out in the alley until the local cops, cherry top, rips this holy night...

Probably the best way to close an album...

Certainly one of the greatest songs ever penned and recorded in my opinion... the romance within all the violence and urban turmoil, the despair and surrender... and that incredibly warm moving sax solo that says just as many words as the verses themselves. Been listening to this baffling thing a lot, esp outdoors, and it sucks me in everytime. Bruce's masterpiece.
