If you looked at my March 2008 journal entry, you'll know what this is about.
This time I will include short reviews for each album. I promise they will leave much to be desired, but I don't think brief expressions of first impressions should necessarily be brilliant or profound.

I got this album because I remember really liking "Movies" back in the 7th grade, so I decided to see if I still would dig it. To cut this short, things have changed since then, my taste in music being one of those things. Sure, songs like "Courage" and "Smooth Criminal" are tasty, and has a bit of creativity and soul, but I just can't get into this from beginning to end. It's a fair effort, but it's not something I'll be listening to often.

  • The hype in my pants

There's a lot of rather meaningless hypes on last.fm journals these days. Playlist statistics, A-Z lists, several questionnaires, etc. There wouldn't be much of a problem with them if people actually took the time to EXPLAIN their choices/answers. Lacking these explanations, these lists have no meaning at all except for the person who made them. And that's fine, but not if they are posted for everyone to read (which is the point of online journals, be it here, on myspace or livejournal or wherever). Waste of space if you'd ask me. Anyway, I should stop ranting as that's not the real point why I'm making this entry.

The latest hype I saw was adding the words 'in my pants' at the end of song titles of tracks being played on shuffle. There were some really good ones and I got a laugh out of quite a few of them. Good thing about this is that it's plain simple fun and doesn't need an explanation to be understood. Therefor, I think I'll add my 20 "random" tracks to the online world. …
