Vintersorg is better on single songs, while Garm and Vortex were better over the course of an entire album, if that makes sense. But all 3 of them are better than most singers and Borknagar's is in the rare position of having 3 great singers.

I like the second, third and fourth album. The rest is OK. I like the first 2 vocalists, but in general I don't like Vintersorg his vocals that much and the later albums sound a bit to layered.

i agree with immortal knight. the archaic course is probably their best release. it's very consistent and has a very unique feel to it. the rest of the albums, aren't really that interesting, though their first two are pretty nice as well.
