1) Missiles Of Uncertain Destinations - "There's No Profit In Peace... So Keep The Missiles Coming" (2006).

Nice band. Unfortunately, they split up :( Some kinda mix of chaotic hardcore and screamo. Maybe sounds like The Great Redneck Hope with a smile :) positive thing. I like them :)

2) Glasgow Drive - "Oh My God I Can't Dance To This!" (EP) (2006).

Interesting band. It becomes more interesting when you realize that all members of the band are 15-16 years old. Sounds like a copy of The Fall Of Troy, really?) And yeah, it's true, their music sounds similar to TFOT. Some kinda experimental post-hardcore. Only one bad thing, this band isn't exist :(

3) Berserk for Tea Time - "Ink...and a paper" (2007).

When i listened to them, they reminded me of Devil Sold His Soul. All is good. But some kinda boring sometimes. Some songs are simple too long. I think, it's not good idea for such style that combines scremo, post-hardcore and even mathcore. So, my conclusion - good, but not great :)

4) We Smoke Fags - (some songs, they doesn't have any release at all :)).

Funny thing. Even know that this band doesn't have any release, any EP, single or anything, they're very popular :) And their music is cool, some kinda mix of dance-punk, new rave and indie :) Stylish guys :)

5) Bono Must Die - "Demos" (2007) & "Studio EP" (2007).

One more dance-punk/new rave release. Nice band, but previous i liked more. Maybe i just didn't like their vocal style. It reminds me of Bloc Party, but it doesn't mean that i don't like Bloc Party, vice versa! :) Anyway, good release. Not bad.

6) Does It Offend You, Yeah? - "You Have No Idea What You're Getting Yourself Into" (2008).

Oh, this is great thing :) Also release of indie/new rave/electronic/dance-punk, but how cool it is :) It makes you wanna dance, jump or something :) Very positive. Less vocals, more music. Great thing. Recommend.

Another one release of new rave. Nice vocals, nice melodies...but after listening, nothing stayed in my head, i don't remember them...so it means that they didn't catch me.

8) Elle Milano - "Acres Of Dead Space Cadets" (2008) & "Swearing's for Art Students" (EP) (2006).

Very interesting indie-rock release. Sometimes sounds like Test Icicles. With art-rock influences. Interesting music, if you like TI then you gotta hear them.

dear diary,

owing to how far away australia seems to be from the rest of the world i'm just making quick notes of some things that have piqued my interest:

Robots in Disguise have managed to respark my interest in female hyperserious electro that has waned since Peaches and Chicks on Speed went quiet and i realised that Le Tigre were a little too hit and miss.

next up is a band formally known as Bono Must Die but now known as oRPHANS [FKABMD] after Bono's people threatned to sue. also disappointing is they haven't a record deal so an album is probably well distant. they're probably nu rave or something but i just dig them particularly too young which is rad despite the Bon Jovi synth at the start.

finally is Middleman another english act no doubt common enough to anyone in the vicinity they're ok, fortunately not the same song track after track but they definitely seem a little hit and miss. lets see what time has to say. Check them out on myspace: http://www.myspace.com/middlemanpop
