    this was a song for his wife Rita.. they met young, shared one bed in trenchtown and oatmeal porridge when they had nothing else but a dream, talent, and each other. i heard he wrote it after they had some troubles and he was trying to encourage and remind her that she was his only wife and he loved her for all they had been through, are going through, and will go through. deeply personal message... one of my favorites, the live version is the best!

    wait, is he saying "no woman you shouldnt cry", or "no woman in your life means you wont cry"? i used to think he was saying the latter meaning now that he has no woman his life is peaceful but now its clear that he's telling a woman not to cry. good, good
