I feel like the last line of this song (and therefore of the album obviously) pretty much sums up the entire meaning of the entire album. "Life is sad, life is a bust, all ya can do is do what you must, you do what you must do and ya do it well... I'll do it for you, honey, baby, can't you tell?"... Right there, that's the whole point: Life (and by life I'm going to make that big (not) stretch and say he's talking about love) sucks, but at the end of the day there's that little bit of hope, that need to keep on going for the sake of that one person, and as miserable as we may be, as much as we may hate (even as we love) that person, it's somehow worth it and so we'll keep on "doing it" for them... Jesus shit I'm getting weird and philosophical now and I'm not even drunk or stoned
