Irgendwie weißt ich auch nicht, was mich dazu gebracht hat auf dieses Konzert gehen zu wollen. Ein richtiger Blumfeld-Fan war ich noch nie und am Ende der Blumfeld-Ära sowieso nicht. Irgendwie war ich wohl neugierig zu hören wie Jochen Distelmeyer nun solo klingt. Aber wie soll er schon klingen? Wie Blumfeld natürlich. Nun wieder etwas rockiger. Schließlich heißt das neue Album Heavy. Aber so schwerwiegend war das Konzert dann auch wieder nicht. Vorgruppe gab es keine. Seine neue Band taktete mit Feedback auf, dann kam Jochen Distelmeyer höchstpersönlich auf die Bühne. Die ersten drei Songs rockten gut, dann wurde es wieder etwas gemächlicher. Immer wieder wurden alte Blumfeld-Songs zum besten gegeben. Jochen Distelmeyer ist seine eigene Blumfeld Revival Band. Im großen und ganzen also nix neues. Schade! Aber seine Fans mögen‘s wohl. Bei mir macht sich eine gewisse Indifferenz breit. Und an Textfetzen wie „... es ist nur ein Song / Und ich flieg davon / zu dir...“ kann ich mich einfach nicht gewöhnen. Kitsch! Vielleicht wären mir solche Zeilen sogar etwas peinlich...

Ich konnte den Hype um diese Band nicht so recht nachvollziehen. Erst in dieser Woche, eigentlich viel zu spät, lerne ich den Hit Kids lieben. Düüt düüt düüt düüt düüüüdedütt de düüüt. Kurios. Tanzbar. Gut.

Ich hänge ein bisschen hinterher. Diesen Song hörte ich vorletzte Woche wieder ziemlich oft. An ihm gibt's nichts auszusetzen. Für mich perfekt. Kurz und bündig.

Diese Woche hänge ich etwas hinterher und muss nun am heutigen Sonntag zwei Songs der Woche der präsentieren. Für die 18. Woche kramte ich Blumfelds bestes Album wieder hervor. Grund dafür war, dass ich irgendwo mal wieder was über "St. Quentin" gehört habe und mich direkt an den großartigen Song und das dazugehörige Album erinnerte. Dieses lief dann in meinem Auto wieder rauf und runter. Einfach großartig. Oft mag ich es ja nicht, wenn man so pauschal sagt: "Früher waren die viel besser", aber hier, bei Blumfeld, trifft es absolut zu. Neben "L'Etat et moit" habe ich dann auch die "Ich-Machine" wieder ausgepackt.
