I'm not tryin to start a hatefight on the BMSR shoutbox, hell I've even defended them with you... I'm just simply stating my opinion, and everyone already knows that you wont agree with this. Eating us, the album that has been argued as their Most canned (if you will), least experimental album comes out, and they immediately become a music festival tour band. LAAAAAAME. Go back to your roots, BMSR, and stop selling out. Because newsflash: The music festival scene nowadays is step 1 to selling out. This makes me REALLY sad, because they're one of my favorite bands, but if another Eating Us comes out, I'm giving up hope.

I never really got the Air/BMSR comparison. Tobacco doesn't really have a lot of influences, judging by interviews with him. And he started using the vocoder almost by accident, so it's not like they are copying anyone.

Calm down, Dandelion fanboy ! Of course Black Moth doesn't sample Air (sampling is just a copy-paste method). But the first time I listened to Dandelion I instantly thought « hey, the voices are quite similar to the early Air ». That's a natural feeling I had, I did not try to make some researches just to look smart with my musical culture « kofkof the cold feeling of urgency of Interpol has been highly influenced by Joy Division's coldwave ». But perhaps my musical culture is weak to the point that the only comparison I could find to Black Moth is a mainstream groupe like Air ? Who knows... Anyway, my previous posts were trolls / exagerations, only written to see your lovely panic reaction. <3
