Gypsy Rose is my personal favorite of his. I do feel that the tracks they have up on the playlist thing are not very good examples of his sound though. They sound very country, I like his more folky stuff. That's just me, though.

Changing Horses is fantastic, just like every other BK album. The lyrics are some of his best to date. I suggest everyone go see him play it live because he's just phenomenal. Last week's show in Nashville was one of the best concerts I've ever attended.

The new album is SO dull and tedious I cannot believe he has put out such a piss poor record, I remember when he was good and played songs with good hooks that you couldn't help but like, not this boring music you would likely hear in a cafe. Going to see him live in May, lets hope he doesn't play too much from the new album. ...With that said even tho I hate the new album I do appreciate someone trying something different regardless of my opinion of it, but I do hope he has it out of his system now as it really is a mind numbingly dull album.

I'd say Changing Horses is on par with his other efforts. Sha Sha will always sit on top for me, but Changing Horses is a solid album. It's pretty consistent in quality, unlike On My Way and Ben Kweller that had some notably weaker songs ("Ann Disaster" and "This is War" to name a couple). I hardly even call this true country; it's very, very folky, but is it really country? I can't picture someone who really likes only country actually even listening to this. On a side note, I've had "Sawdust Man" stuck in my head for like 5 days.
