of course i'm a HUGE jack johnson fan,but compare every less famous artist from his label or who's a friend of him with him is not fair. ben harper is an artist for his own and his music is wonderful and often very different from jack's music. so you(everyone) should give him a chance as a solo artist,and not as a second jack johnson. ben harper is nearly a decade longer in music business than jack,remember that;)

Last.fm should map the two different tags together so that no matter what you have it tagged as, it would all be under one name and the playcounts would be combined. As far as what it should be tagged as, they should consult the OCLC name authority files and go with that.

the way I see it ... as long as the Innocent Criminals are playing on the song, they deserve to be a part of the tag. simple. If Ben is playing solo, or is playing all of the instruments himself, then it can be just 'Ben Harper'
