Viking Metal IS NOT even a musical genre, I mean, it is more lyrical than musical, all "viking metal" bands have their music blended with another one, Like Black/Viking, Folk/Viking, and even as in Amon Amarth's case, Melodic Death/Viking Metal. Viking Metal is not a concrete musical genre, it is totally lyrical. And, as you can see here, Blood Fire Death sounds like a mixing of Black and Thrash Metal (There are a lot of Slayer-like riffs on it) but it has norse mythology lyrics. Black Metal used to be more a lyrical than musical genre on its beginning. On its early days, every band which sang about the occult, satan himself, and things like that, were called Black Metal, it happened with Hellhammer, Venom, Sodom and even Mercyful Fate. Only in the end of the 80's and beginning of the 90's with the second wave of black metal, that it turned a concrete musical genre. That's my view. It is more appropriate to say that it is more a lyrical genre than a musical one.

    >Многие полагают, что этот альбом является первой работой в жанре викинг-метал Но ведь до этого был не менее эпичный Hammerheart

This is way closer to thrash metal than CF and INRI. I understand it's also sort of proto-black metal, but instrumentally this isn't terribly distinct from Bay Area sometimes. This music thing's weird sometimes. Stuff overlaps.

This is thrash metal in the same way INRI-era Sarcofago and Celtic Frost are thrash metal, i.e. they're not.
