Bang Gang is a band from Iceland. Bang Gang is often the musical alias of songwriter/producer Barði Jóhannsson who formed the band and lives in Reykjavík.
In 1998, Bang Gang scored a hit in Europe with “So Alone?”, winning airplay on MTV Europe and resulting in the release of the debut full-length, You. They have released 2 full-length albums, and at least 2 independent EPs and 7”s since 1998. The most recent release was 2008’s Ghosts From The Past.
Bang Gang was named SPIN Band of the Day on May 24, 2007, and performed in the United States that year as well, in New York and at SXSW
