Pretty much the same story here, Johhny, except for the buzz... in 1999-2000, it was a Spinefarm, or likely Necropolis, sampler where I heard a King Fear cut and was rightfully blown away. Think I eventually found CH and KF CDs at a Crows Nest. Anyway, KF is probably my favorite (Hand of Glory, To Behold the Suns Below, Exit Eden, Sol Niger, Fey, King Fear... this album is their crowning achievement imo). Though, still enjoy the hell out of Cold Heaven, Trismegistos and Deggael... Sloane 313's not bad either. The other stuff (Devils Meat and Death of the West) is simply par for what they're capable of, as far as I'm concerned.

niceboy_freak those "faggots" would (indirectly) be Babylon Whores as that deathrock label is self-appointed on the Cold Heaven CD back cover by BW themselves.

I don't know what they put in the fucking water in Finland, but if it leads to bands like Babylon Whores, then long may they continue. "Cold Heaven" and "King Fear" are 2 of my all time favourite albums. Unmatched by most of the 3rd rate shit around in the meantime. Ike, in my humble opinion, must be one of the best lyricists in metal. No one else uses so many profound occult references in such an intelligent and witty way. Someone persuade them to start up again! Also, they got me into Mana Mana, another fucking fantastic Finnish band. If you like BW, check out MM immediately!!!

Looks like The Sisters Of Mercy had discovered distortion and metal rythms. Another great band from Finland again...

It's pretty hard to find something similar to BW, but now that you mentioned it I realized Angel Blake does indeed have some similarities.

Mother of Serpents appear to be one their of the strongest tracks if it is given listening time it needs.
