Perdition Diaries is fucking solid, but so's the rest of their back catalog. I can only think of a couple of songs off of Bleak that aren't exactly stand-out to me -- Perdition Diaries brings something to the table that the rest could not, and experimentation was always the nature of Autumnblaze in the first place. From what they offer, they've found their niche in genuinely depressive music from a variety of projections.

To Battlefist: The newer ones, "Mute Boy, Sad Girl" in particular, are only 'Trip-Hop' in the sense that the drumbeats are electronic trip-hop inspired ones, the album is in no way related to anything remotely 'hop' (be it hip-hop, trip-hop or whatever shitty name someone wants to call it). You can rest assured it's still very much Autumnblaze, in fact, the newer albums are just as fantastic as he earlier ones such as their first album and Bleak. So don't hesitate to check them out, progression is a good thing and they certainly didn't "sell out" or anything, just naturally progressed into a good place!
