Just copying some music-related crap I originally wrote on facebook to put off going to bed. Yes, not sleeping is an end in itself.

The oughts? The ooo's? The oh's? O-zone? (Wait, now I have to go delete a song a replace it with Dragostea Din Tei.) Whatever, the point is that I can vote in a song countdown by our local radio station and my vote is going to be the BEST DAMN VOTE EVER. If you are tagged, it's because I think you'll care about what I say about music for some reason.

Like all WYEP song countdowns, I have labored over this list with a pointless intensity. There are several layers of pointlessness: I barely ever listen to the station, my tastes don't overlap with the station's that much so it's unlikely that my nominations will get any votes other than my own, it's only one vote, I don't really care, etc. Unlike past countdowns, though, you can submit 20 songs, not three, so no more obsessing over which beloved song/album/artist to throw under the bus. …

cool! had adam balbo on live! he also played the next night at the furnace with june madrona and great job! also, some friends came by to promote an art show at the arden garden. and ricky came back to town and played a song!
