I prefer this album to SotS because most of the songs sound alike. Terminal Spirit Disease actually had a bit of variety.

I dunno why everyone hates SOTS so much. imo it beats this album hands down purely cos this just doesn't feel like an album - 22 minutes long >_< I've heard EPs MUCH longer than this! But its 22 minutes of great music, dont get me wrong, and if they'd made another 20 minutes of this quality stuff I'd say it'd be miles better than SOTS, just as it is I cant say its a better album cos it just doesn't feel like one. Other than being far too short, it's damn good melodeath \m/

For me this was the first album where the whole Gothenberg style coalesced. There had been other records before this which hinted at it, but they were all rough and lacked the confidence to shamelessly delve into the three essential aspects of the sound : dark, melodic and catchy.

Mostly weak. This is where they started to go wrong. I allso dont get why this is a full length and not an EP, I mean theres only 6 songs on it (live tracks arent new material, dont realy count).

ehh stupid net. Sorry if I repeated my thoughts but as I said on the previous attempt this is a pretty good album with Beautiful Wound (heard it live this past July it blew me away) being the highlight of the album for me, but I would have to say With Fear... is probably one of their best efforts; the variety in their riffs and lyrics makes it a very interesting album from the tortured shrieks and melancholy strings of Burning Darkness to the all out attack on Non-Divine. But you don't have to take my word for it after all it's just my opinion

It's a petty good album but, I would have to say With Fear... is their best work. I mean it's hard to see why it wouldn't be the variety in riffs and lyrics from each song makes it very interesting. from Burning Darkness to Non-Divine it changes in tempo and everything.

Definitely. This is far better than it's follow-up, and while it's considerably different than their first two albums, I'd say it's easily their best album overall. It's my favorite, at the very least, and is definitely one of my favorite melodic death metal albums ever. It makes Slaughter seem boring in comparison.
