At Vance é uma banda alemã de power metal formada em 1998 por Oliver Hartmann e Olaf Lenk. Apesar das mudanças constantes de formação, lançou 7 álbuns. Sua musicalidade é única, apesar de ter traços de semelhanças com a banda Rainbow; mistura estilos neo-clássicos, hard rock e speed metal alemão. Algumas de suas musicas são covers, versões de músicas “metalizadas”, ou seja, executada nos moldes de músicas de metal mas que mantém a melodia e letra original. Destaque para músicas como Desperado, do Eagles, 5th symphony, de Beethoven e Etude 4, de Vivaldi.

The Levén albums are better than the Hartmann ones. I do agree that Altzi ain't the best singer out there. VII was not all that bad though, I'm looking forward to get my hands on Ride The Sky.

Oliver Hartmann is awesome no matter what. Also, this band is not only wonderful but a bit unique. I mean, an infernally talented vocalist left, they found another vocalist who is infernally talented, too. As a result the band lose nothin'

Listen to Burning my Heart song - its the best song i ever heard, Oliver Hartmann is so damn awesome there, when i listen it first time i was affraid of not get bored of it, and after thousand listenings its still amazing ; ) And what is terrible for me - Oliver Hartmann have now his own band playing some rock-pop music, and hes not screaming anymore its so sad... He is just wasting his talent ; ( But of course im not saying that Hartmann's albums are not good, they are cool, but its not the same. Their(at vance) latest album is like from another band for me. When Oliver Hartmann was it was awesome, Mats Leven still very good, but now with Rick its damn crap, hope that next album will be better. Altzi dont have such powerfull voice as 2 guys before, and he cant scream like OIiver what is Very important for this band. Sorry for my English ; )
