How varied is my music taste?
Dez 1 2009, 23h57 por jaredjr100
'First, make a list of your overall top-20 artists. Then, for each of these artists, add the 9 most similar artists to your list. Delete any duplicates, add up the number of entries on your list and this will give you some idea of how eclectic your listening habits are. A score of 9 represents an extremely unvaried musical taste while a 200 represents an extremely varied one.'

CD Collection
Jun 7 2009, 20h25 por mandi_lizamore
This is just for my own use really - to remember my little shopping list of the top CD's I would ideally love to pick up on the way and own someday... For most of the artists I've mentioned, I'd like to own some of their other albums too, but for the most part I just picked out my best best. Basically just the albums that have really meant something to me at some point in my life, whether recently or years back (hence the Spice Girls and My Chemical Romance :) This is also just including albums & EPs - still a lot of singles with B-sides I'd love to get my hands on, but listing those as well would get a bit silly. Anyway. I love lists. Notsomuch shopping lists. But this one wont be done in one trip, no sir.

How varied is your music taste?
Mai 29 2009, 12h43 por Lizzy789
'First, make a list of your overall top-20 artists. Then, for each of these artists, add the 8 most similar artists to your list. Delete any duplicates, add up the number of entries on your list and this will give you some idea of how eclectic your listening habits are. A score of 9 represents an extremely unvaried musical taste while a 160 represents an extremely varied one.'

Recent listening habits
Mai 14 2009, 10h24 por jessiewings
I can tell my Last.fm account has become dusty. Just looking which artists are apparently in my top eight most listened to confirms this. All the awesome artists I've loved and listened to so frequently I've eventually become sick of them are nowhere to be seen! My profile's all about what I listened to as a year nine. Oh well...
Now I've realised there's a plug-in for iTunes with which I can scrobble the tracks I actually listen to these days, perhaps things will change. But since I more often find myself listening to music on my iPod, maybe not.
Well, just in case the tracks I scrobble don't do my tastes justice, the artists I've found myself listening to most frequently are Angus & Julia Stone, 78 Saab, The Killers, Kings of Leon, Birds of Tokyo, Empire of the Sun and Coldplay. However, the songs whose words I've currently memorised and am liable to hum at vulnerable moments are
The Logical Song,
A Horse With No Name and The Sound Of Silence. Looking at that last one, maybe my tastes aren't so radically different from year nine after all.
