30. The Leisure Society – Into The Murky Water

Après une première petite pépite sortie en 2009, on attendait la bande de Brighton avec impatience. Into the Murky Water est sans nul doute bien mieux produit que son prédécesseur, plus soigné, plus fouillé, plus complet, mais aussi, et c’est hélas là le revers de la médaille, plus unifié et par conséquent, un peu plus lisse aussi. Qu’à cela ne tienne, la musique des Leisure Society apporte toujours autant de fraicheur et de couleurs à nos oreilles. La force de ce disque se trouve dans son mélange, ses mélodies et sa sincérité. Et au détour d’un jour ensoleillé, il nous accompagnera volontiers vers des chemins verdoyants, toujours avec tant de facilité et d’allégresse.

Christina Aguilera's new album will be better than Bionic.

I don't know if I should be surprised or not by the fact that the albums I most anticipated turned out to be the ones I liked the most, but I kind of am. I hope this is not because I'm growing older and less open minded, but because the established artists actually created the best music. Anyways, my favorite albums of 2011:
