@Mordzeit right! it is almost like venom, but more punk and sometimes more dark, atmospheric than venom! crust is indoubtely one of black metal influence. regard winter and beginning of the end from amebix. and from the other side, regarding common view that venom influenced amebix, well, there is also 2nd opposite view from amebix, read this http://www.thrashermagazine.com/articles/music-interviews/amebix/ it is quite interesting, also taking for account that critics regard venom as buffoons, so they can also say not entire truth.... and maybe truth lies between cause all bands were influencing each other those times.

A little bit of Venom? Hahahah. Ever since the first time I heard Amebix I recognized that they sound a LOT like Venom. They sound almost exactly the same except some small differences. A tiny, TINY bit more punk tinge to it. Amebix obviously loved Venom. Their sound comes directly from them. The guitars, the bass, even the vocals.

@flemingia yeah i went to the one in Austin,TX and when they played Chaos in Tejas Last Year. Both phenomenal shows.
