"Preparations for the third Amberian Dawn album are well underway. Tuomas, who composes music for AD, has all the new songs ready and Heidi has already started writing lyrics. Recordings begin on November 23rd and the first "victim" is our drummer Joonas. He has just got his brand new TAMA Starclassic drum kit and it will be interesting to find out how the set sounds in the studio. The new album is going to be more diverse, faster and darker than our previous albums. The fastest AD songs to date contrast some extremely slow and heavy songs. There's even going to be a classical music piece. Some guest stars are going to featured on this album. Stay tuned for more information." OH MY GOD THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS HOPING FOR! More diverse, some heavier songs, some slower, god, this is perfect! I wish all the well and I hope for some amazing guests!

Yeah like Quispiam said, as long as I can buy them some where I really don't care. I just want to be able to buy them individually if possible. My current Amberian Dawn CDs are just fine with Heidi's sig on them, I don't need new ones :x

Because so far AD isn't big enough to release singles, I think. But I don't mind bonus tracks as long as they are available online or released on some compilation thing further on.

If the band would have any profit from it, okay - but this way it's just a donation to the Japanese government. Why not release an album and a single, and in Japan just sell both on one CD?

About the japanese thing, they give Japan some more songs because the CDs costs alot more in Japan then elsewhere in the world. So the album basicly needs those exclusive songs so that they can sell.

I still have a lot of mythology to study... it's all so darn interesting. But I agree with floarianblaschke, three albums in three years either mean really good (inspired like heck) or really bad (rushed) result.

I still hope that you guys won't hurry things and will take your time to polish the songs. By the way, the band name reminds me of Baltic instead of Finnish mythology: The Goddess of Dawn, Aushra, is very important in Baltic mythology, and the mermaid-like Goddess of the Sea, Jurate, lives in a castle made of amber on the ground of the Baltic Sea. :-)

HeyHey... just finished our last show of the tour in Paris! It was amazing experience once again... and so was the whole tour. Next plan is that we start recording new stuff :) Btw.. I think we are able to release the Japan bonus tracks as digital versions someday.. I don't remember when they are available for global release... but someday yes. @pep_i -> thanks for stopping by with your well known comments... yeah we will make a reggae record just for your needs!! And people don't get me wrong... I love reggae!!!

You know, the two bonus tracks, and if possible just two new songs or live versions... That would be awesome. OR a new album for that matter, but I think it's too soon from Clouds to ask for either.

Well, there are ways to do the Japan thing right, such as recording a cover song or a live version as bonustrack. But the way it is done here, it is a waste of good music. :(

Quispiam: Personally, I was really impressed by the lyrics and changing rhythms in Lost Soul! Also a really nice keyboard solo - I kinda missed those on Clouds ... Epic songs with long instrumental sections are what I crave anyway, and I'd certainly love getting to hear more of Tommi and Joonas, as well! ;) Sure, progressive/solo sections are taxing on the memory of the musicians, and require more creativity, and all, but come on, you guys are no slouches :P Just take your time, and while I can understand that you were under pressure to follow your debut up quickly (actually it is amazing that it turned out so much more creative given that you had so much less time to collect ideas, you must really have gelled as a band ...), I hope you'll take double the time to work on the songs for your next album to realise your full potential!

athemeone: I know it's not your fault, and I can even understand the reason for the Japanese bonus track thing. I've heard that this kind of music is totally popular in Japan (at least among those interested in metal), so it's an important market! I'd still love to hear those bonus tracks! As for not offering anything new ... The only new thing that NW have been offering lately that hadn't already been done to death by other female-fronted/symphonic metal bands (pop influence, see WT et al.) or done better (folk influences, see Lumsk, and well, they're hardly a new thing in this kind of music anyway) is the gospel choir on MoH I'd say *cough* When I want to hear actually progressive or avant-garde metal with female vocals I turn to To-Mera, Diablo Swing Orchestra, UnexpecT and the like ... certainly NOT them!
