Sad. More sad that there's no official announcement from them yet. Thanks for Lambgoat for the article. Abacus Recordings has officially ceased to exist. Portions of the one-time Century Media Records imprint will now be folded back into Century Media. Launched in 2002, the label was originally headed by Century Media co-owner Robert Kampf. Roughly two years ago Abacus and Century Media split, with Kampf choosing to relinquish his portion of ownership. Details regarding the latest arrangement between the two entities are scant, but it appears that certain Abacus bands will now be brought over to the Century Media roster.

Abacus' catalog of releases include albums from... Ion Dissonance, Caliban, Glass Casket, Heaven Shall Burn, Turmoil, Swarm of the Lotus, Sworn Enemy, Maroon, All Else Failed, Bleeding Kansas, Devilinside, Embrace The End, Turbonegro, The Juliana Theory, Ignite, Planes Mistaken For Stars, Sick of It All, The Distance, Clifton, Purified in Blood, and many many more.
