Brazilian experimental electronic artist.
Born by the middle of 1999, as a study of sounds, effects and artistic abstraction. At that time there were 2 solo projects: Alienator and Stumblefather, which “got fusioned” on a single one by 2004.
The music was a sum of wide open influences: ambient sounds, electro, techno, breakbeat, house – but, beyond it all, uncommon effects, noises and a “rough” touch.
2001 - The demo CD “O Alienador EP” had a pretty positive review published on brazilian mag DJ World (# 3).
2002 - A second demo EP, “Elektruthfuck >>> Understandit”, brought tracks on a more connected way – going for the dancefloors, while keeping an experimental mood.
Internet started acting as a valuable channel and it ended up generating essential contacts and contributions for the project.
From 2003 on, experimental performances became a trademark in the works: soundtracky live mixes to underground events on Rio de Janeiro and Niteroi cities, experimental longsets open to other artist’s interventions (live instruments, e-guitar-pedal fuelled vocals, weird noises), hard and unique mixset @ F.I.L.E. Hipersonica Festival on Sao Paulo (2005), and others.
On the two hosting pages for AlienAqtor music on Fiberonline website (www.fiberonline.com.br/alienaqtor and www.fiberonline.com.br/alienaqtor2004) - both launched on 2004 - there have been over 9,000 downloads, and the project has already stood as Artist of the Week, a little more than a month after the first page was created.
