I'm fine with whatever Anneke decides to write about, or the style isn't a problem for me, as long as good stuff musically , and, for me, she didn't do that in this album. I think people still need tu understand the main goal of AdA's music. Anneke stated several times that it was based on her perspective of everyday life ; which might explain why the music is much more "pop" and "happier" than before. Blaming the album because of that sounds pathetic to me. I do think music is about wondering if the feelings expressed work, or not. As for In Your Room, it sounds really nice to me. A very simple album, yet very moving. Anneke proves she doesn't need heavy guitars or complex arrangements to make good music. THIS is the "pop" I love.
