Agnetha Åse Fältskog nasceu em 5 de abril de 1950 na cidade de Jönköping, ao sul da Suécia, filha do casal Ingvar e Birgit Fältskog. A música entrou na vida de Agnetha muito cedo – com seis anos ela escreveu sua primeira música Två små troll. Ainda adolescente ela forma com duas amigas, em 1963, o trio The Cambers, que não durou muito tempo.
Aos 16 anos, Agnetha, mesmo trabalhando como telefonista, começou a cantar em um grupo de dança chamado Bernt Enghardts. Pouco tempo depois, foi descoberta por Little Gerhard, que se impressionou com sua voz. Agnetha assina com a gravadora CBS-Cupol. Seu trabalho com a gravadora foi o single Jag Var Sa Kär, de 1968, que alcança o primeiro lugar nas paradas suecas. O sucesso do single abriu as portas para o lançamento de seu primeiro álbum, intitulado simplesmente Agnetha Fältskog, lançado no mesmo ano. Agnetha começa a ficar famosa no seu país, e pelos anos seguintes, lançou outros singles e álbuns, inclusive musicas em alemão, e até a viajou para a Alemanha com objetivo da conquistar aquele mercado. Nesta época, chegou a ficar noiva do produtor alemão Dieter Zimmerman, mas o noivado não durou muito, e sua carreira na Alemanha não foi adiante.
Em 1969 Agnetha conheceu Björn Ulvaeus, integrante do The Hootenanny Singers, durante um especial que a televisão sueca realizou em homenagem ao compositor Jules Sylvain, e eles foram morar juntos em abril de 1970. Em novembro, o casal estreou em um show de cabaré com o parceiro de Björn, Benny Andersson, e sua namorada, Anni-Frid Lyngstad (mais conhecida como Frida).

Yea, sometimes the picture of Agnetha that I like is the one that someone doesn't like, it happens. Whatever. But there are people that ask others to vote down certain pics and it's not fair. If you don't like a photo, ok, vote down, end. After show others the pic that you like and if the person likes it, she vote up if she doesn't, she vote down. Not ask them to just vote down. But no problem, while people keep listening to her, I'm glad.

If I may intervene, it's a rather simple explanation - someone really wants certain photos on top. If I had to guess, I'd say it's probably whoever uploaded the surging pics, just trying to get their own contributions on the top. You'd be surprised what little it takes to make some people feel special.

Yeah, the M magazine and the Elle photo have dropped down the photo board quite a bit. I could understand if it was one or 2 votes that could have done that, but both photos have been completely been targeted by all these 'down' votes and all these random photos are now the 'top photos'. Which I find really strange. It is not that I don't love these photos, I ADORE them, I just would like to know why people are doing this and I would like to see the Elle one up. Even if it is just for a day

I had a go at bringing back that lovely pink fur shrug pic back as a main with my 2 other voting accounts. Didn't work. It brought back the black and white 2004 pic, hope you don't mind this photo. I think this one is lovely too so I don't mind it. I don't like the other ones as main, I just don't think they are very nice as main photos.
