Out this week on Enfant Terrible are the 2 new albums by the Swedish electronic/industrial/ post-punk act Agent Side Grinder: "Irish Recording Tape" and "The Transatlantic Tape Project". On "Irish Recording Tape" you may expect more accessible songs but still very much in the typical style of Agent Side Grinder: drilling industrial sounds, hypnotic synth sequences and post-punk influenced bass lines reminissent to Joy Division. Next is "The Transatlantic Tape Project" which shows the experimental side of Agent Side Grinder offering a blending of 60's psychedelic music and 80's experimental industrial muzak, yes, you read it well, industrial muzak. Add to this contemporary ambient music and you get what the label calls 'electronic Chamber Music'.
