Suli-Juan well she shouldn't wait until she releases a masterpiece to go on a hiatus! she did that cause she needed it. and Hikki isn't lazy, she just chooses a different way of working. instead of endless touring, releasing albums every year (whether they were good or not) she chooses to pay more attention to her craft and spend her time writing songs and producing them and evolve as a musician. and it shows on her work. as you just said you do not expect a bad song from Hikki but you do from someone like Ayumi.

TalkingFiction vv Still floppin' tho, even TITO sold more in Japan than Ayu's last album did regardless of how bad Poppin' was. Utada is only on hiatus, it's not like she'll be gone forever. I would rather have her take her time and release a quality album than pop out some crap every year like Ayu and Kuu.

v I still dont find any of Ayu's songs as painful as Poppin' (mainly because I don't find it anywhere near as offensive when Ayu does a bad song- Utada is expected to do better). But we're not talking about Ayu, we're talking about Utada being lazy. It's not like she left on an album she knew she couldn't top or anything. Why is the only defense against this always something like "Oh well Ayu...." blah blah.

They should've released it at the same time that the WILD LIFE concert came out since that's what they did with the Greatest Hits and SCV2.

I wouldn't expect it to, since I don't think she left IDJ on good terms. They might just release it in Japan like they did with the Utada Greatest Hits album though, you never know.

eplizo I LOVEEE "Keep Tryin'" as well! definitely one of her best imo. and omg I like "Hymne a l'amour" as well. STFU @ whoever said passion is a weak song. anyway....... Heart Station and Ultra Blue are probably her best albums imo, but pretty much all her albums are great... My least favorite are probably her first two, "First Love" and "Distance" though they do have some nice songs on them they're just not up to the same quality/consistency of her more recent work. Exodus is a nice album as well! "Animato", "Kremlin Dusk", "You Make me want to be a Man.">>>>>>>>

Takuza She has put out so many quality albums and tracks that people have a hard time deciding which are the best ones. Her songs relate to people differently through the music and/or the lyrics, so its no wonder so many people list a variety of her stuff as her best work. And to do this over a lengthy career (which I hope will not end anytime soon) makes it even more impressive.

I agree that Keep Tryin and Wings are the weakest songs on Ultra Blue. but even those were better than the weakest songs on Deep River or Distance.

Heart Station has my most favorite song (Stay Gold) and my least favorite one (Kiss&Cry) so I feel kinda split. I'd go Distance, maybe, as my overall favorite album.
