Well it was not actually called Arthur Plantagenest, but "Ja nuns hons pris" writen by Arthur Lionheart, as far as I got it Tri Yann based their song on that melody- andf lyricwise. Arthur lived in the 12th century, while Stella Splendens was written in the 14th. I guess some monks covered it and put some religious text to it, such happened sometimes. That's what I found out. Anyway this song rocks.

Very nice song. As far as I know, the melody is from the mediaeval song "Arthur Plantagenest", which was discovered in a cloyster and used by the Bretonic folk rock band "Tri Yann". You can find it here, too. In my opinion it is even better.
