Projekt é uma gravadora americana fundada em 1983 por San Rosenthal, fundador e músico da banda Black Tape For a Blue Girl. A gravadora, hoje especializada em estilos alternativos como gothic rock, ethereal, darkwave, ambient, shoegaze, dream-pop, e dark cabaret, iniciou seu catálogo com artistas que produziam texturas musicais com teclados ou violões acústicos ou que, de alguma forma, buscavam inspiração na música étnica mundial. Lisa's approach is gentle and ethereal. Dakini is a departure for Lisa that succeeds in A review from Grave Concerns: Black Tape for a Blue Girl has been making music for many years. Spearheaded by Projekt.com master Sam and crew. The latest- 10 Neurotics...can we say...JUST That! Spooky, freaky, silly, NEUROTIC tunes. "Sailor Boy" a haunted, drunken sailor tune with beautiful yet eeerie guitar licks strumin by the sea. "It's funny it's funny I say" whee. Into my favorite "Rotten Zurich Cafe". Picture Angelica Huston with a long cigarette on stage doing caberet at 3am with violins and piano... voila.     Projekt is a great record label. Not only do they publish a lot of really, really good artists, but they also care about their artists AND their listeners. They're also always advertising great deals on their website -- I recently bought several CDs through their "3 for $20" deal.

    I love this label. Check their website to join Sam Rosenthal's e-list; he runs sales on the entire Projekt catelog a couple times a year, which is a great time to stock up on those bands you've heard on Lastfm, but don't actually own yet.
