    Hoax Funeral is an anglo american band (two brits, two yanks) but based in the English midlands. They do a difficult-to-castegorise blend of folk, country and indie using a whole range of instruments including banjo, mandolin, lap steel and guitars. The first thing you notice though is Anjy Hall's beautiful voice.

  • Uh, I LOVE IT!

    I was taken aback for a moment however, because I initially thought this was a posting of the Shearwater/Okkervil River split of the same name...
    But I wasn't disappointed at what was actually here! Very folky, vaguely reminscent of William Fitszimmons or maybe even some of Elliot Smith (I'm thinking of Amsterdam in particular).
