  Not all jazz is swing jazz; not all rock is punk rock; and not all metal is brutal death metal, or slam death metal (which i think is more goregrindy than melodic death metal). There are bands for all, and Motorhead likes to call its music rock and roll, while sounding very different from Elvis. punk has similar vocals, but can be anarchist or racist in lyrics.

  does anyone here think that too many people confuse a band's music genre(s) with the style of music (in that genre)? does anyone want me to elaborate on this or do you have no idea what I was just thinking of and do not care anyway? :) greetz

  How about a thread in which people describe their favourite albums/songs for the superb act of fornicating, and at which song/lyric/beat at which climax should be achieved..? And this is why I don't recommend/start threads, because I heartily enjoy being sordid...
