  Got three Joy Division reissues a while back, all nice new boxes and bonus material etc. Most people say JD are really depressing, and I can see that argument, but there's another way of looking at it too. When you hear Ian Curtis singing about how he needs to 'feel the pleasures of a normal man', and realize that he died by his own hand soon after, it's so poignant. Personally, I can't help feeling my own paltry worries and stresses are miniscule in comparison. I'm not saying it saved my life or anything, but I wouldn't mind betting it has for some people. There. That's what this usergroup was supposed to be about, no? Er, now I have to threadjack and send you all to http://blancomusic.com Well, that's my job, but the Joy Division thing is real nonetheless.

  Well, seeing as I work for a record company and depend on music to buy food, err, I probably would die without it. Or maybe get a different job. Still, some music makes me actually want to top myself. Lady Gah Gaghh for one. Well, that's just pop, so she's forgiven, no pretensions to art or anything.
