Songs whose live version is better than the studio one

There are songs whose concert version is better than the one recorded in studio; this is true expecially for a band like B&S who sometimes released their songs after having played in concert for years.
I think that "Sleep the clock around" is a very great live songs, but I don't like very much the version on The boy with the arab strap

  • anything Stevie recorded before Dear Cataastrophe Waitress is much better live these days i dunno what happened but he can sing a lot better now.

  • I must agree with vincyfed.

Sleep The Clock Around sounds so awesome live. I do love the recorded version too but the live version has more kick and uumpf :-)

  • Sleep the Clock Around...definitely

Atari! With me! Baby! Come on! We can do it while I'm playing Atari!
Atari! Baby! With me! Shut up! Can't you see I'm playing Atari?
  • Agreed!

  • Judy and the Dream of Horses (from Live at the Barbican)! Also, there's a live version of Scooby Driver that has an extra verse and is better than the one on Storytelling.

    what forum?
  • the boy with the arab strap is great on the album but the version on live in belfast is even better

Yep, Sleep the Clock Around was truly beautiful. I was very sceptical about it since I would have thought it involved computers so much in the studio but I was wrong. :)

Can I mention covers here? Because they have some good songs they have covered.

I think of "There's Too Much Love":) very rare at live performances.
