The only relatively safe Windows is Vista, and i've only heard how bloated and confusing that one is. Ubuntu has sound chip driver issues, but i love Puppy Linux even though it didn't fully recognize the Chich mouse i had on my 1998 PC. OSX software management rules, but the hardware is expensive and the updates aren't informative enough for me. Amiga ruled until bad business decisions drove it into the ground. BeOS was awesome, too, but couldn't break the Microsoft monopoly.
