  The most epic 14 minute song I have heard (besides "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" by Iron Maiden) is "Frances the Mute" by The Mars Volta. Easily my favorite song of all time, it is a damn shame they left it off of the album. On top of that, the San Diego jam band Earthless has some of the more amusing 20-minute songs I have heard. You guys should check them out.

  I was gonna create a similar group, but found this one. I really don't like when people complain about song length. If the song is good, who cares how long it is, the longer the better actually. Too bad most people think 5 minutes or more is long...

  octavarium is awesome<3 one of my friends said that it must be the most boring song ever....but she thought it was oryt when i forced her to listen to it all. a song being long dont make it boring. i get bored in 4 minute songs by the killers but not in epic songs by dream theater, opeth, and stuff like that (:
