    The fantasybooks I love the most are the collected stories of Karl Edward Wagner (R.I.P.) and his hero "Kane".

  • Love, love The Wheel of Time Series by Robert Jordan. They are some of the best I've ever read, as are the Malazan Books by Steven Erikson. Characters like Karsa and Anomander Rake are awesome.

    The Farseer Trilogy. If I could, I'd go and live there.

    The Hobbit is one of my favs along with R.A. Salvatore's Legend of Drizzt series. Of the Drizzt books I think Exile and The Halfling's Gem are my favorites.

    I liked the menzoberranzan books, too, but when Drizzt enters the icewind dale, it starts to be really silly. It gets better again, later on, though, but I'm still missing some "character". Someone who is really unique. So I gave up a few books later.

    For now, my favorite fantasy book would be "Die Spur des Seketi" by Gesa Helm. I don't think there is any non-German version of it.
    On the part of series I admire Martins "A Song Of Ice And Fire". The upcoming TV series looks great, I'm really looking forward. :-)

  • Hi, I'm new in here. My favorite fantasy book is "The Witcher". I reed this book, when I was in primary school and loved.

    And of course Tolkien is amazing.

    The Hobbit. It has been said too many times, but I think it is the best book ever written. Also The Children of Hurin and Brisingr are great works, not to forget everything concerning Cthulhu.

  • - 'Kingkiller Chronicles' by Patrick Rothfuss and
    - 'The Dresden Files' (all thirteen so far) by Jim Butcher for the humour and for the almost flawless stories;
    - the Thursday-Next-series by Jasper Fforde (except the last couple) for the sheer weirdness;
    - Terry Pratchett's Discworld (City Watch / Wizard Rincewind / Moist von Lipwig) for the humorous reflection of people and the genre-hopping
    - 'The First Law' trilogy by Joe Abercrombie for the carnage, the utter absence of good people or just causes and for the deeply individual characters

  • All Harry Potter, The Hobbit, City of Bones, City of Glass, City of Fallen Angels, Hush Hush, Bezsenność anioła.
