A group for news junkies, political dorks and admirers of the finest television journalist since Ed Murrow.

In a world so devoid of substance, so thoroughly lobotomised by corporate prop-agenda and celebrity detritus that eight years of murderous imperial numbskullery went almost universally unchallenged - and in many cases unreported (except by those of us living in the "fringes") - it is heartening to know that the art of responsible public discourse is not completely dead, despite the best efforts of Coulter, Hannity, Limbaugh et al.

The impetus of forming this group extends beyond the need for a space within which to demonstrate one's raging affection for Rachel's ass kicking, name taking ways (but, by all means if you feel the need, go right ahead) with the view to create a network for articulate and enthusiastic politicos to rant, rave, debate, dissect and get engaged with what's going on in the world.

Under no circumstances will any discussion of Nicole Ritchie or her vapid little 'punk rock' boytoy be tolerated. It should also go without saying that homophobia, racism, sexism and all derivatives there of will get you shitcanned and reported to a mod asap. I'm all for freedom of speech, belief and expression etc, provided it's purpose is not to deprive another person/group of those very same rights.

    A fair point sir, but I am a lowly antipode and have no access to the American PBS (well, other than youtube I guess). Air America & Democracy Now podcast pretty much all of their programming, The Daily Show/Colbert Report are available to stream for free and MSNBC has full vodcasts of the previous evening's Keith & Rachel every afternoon our time.
