  I have to search for the correct name before listening to a japanese song for the first time, as you get the tags in romaji instead of japanese characters. Auto-correct doesn't do much in that case.

  You know if this feature was ever introduced there's always going to be some knobheads that are going to abuse the feature and ruin it for the rest of us. I think there should be more moderators going around renaming artists and tracks and you should be able to report wrong tags directly to them but I don't think a free-for-all feature is a good idea simply because of the idiots that would abuse i

  That must mean quite a lot of people are retarded as when I search for artists I have found many of them spelt wrong just by accident and tbh im sure you have made multiple erros yourself.

  (Continuing...), but that ends up creating another tag. I, personally fell like this is Last.fm staff problem, they should be able to get it right, since they re-direct SOME artists... But hell, why not, a feature is a feature, could be useful at times.

  There is actually a lot of point in this... For example, I like to move articles for fitting of the archiving standards, which basically means that if a band is called like, for example: The Absence, I have it tagged as Absence, The because it's makes more archiving sense and it's easier for me to find it in my 73gb of music...

  Yet again I ask why is it a silly idea. Though yes you are right that is people get there tags right in the first place this would not be needed but this is not the case, there are hundreds of people who have got it wrong, me included.

  Why is it? One it helps clean up artists that have been submitted wrongly to Last.FM which is something I know that they wish to cut out and also it keeps artists which in effect help us clean out artist information up so the submittions we have are correct for out profiles.

  I do this now and make sure I have the correct names but through time I have had artists like Final Fantasy X which now I have as Nobuo Umstsu, simply like other who may have done this like the option of changing it.

  I don't really see a use for renaming stuff you've submitted yourself. You should've fixed your tags before you played your music. You even had 2 weeks to delete them. What should happen is letting us users redirect crapped up artist names to their actual names.

  Meh, I don't see the point of this group. The feature has been in the works for quite some time, and will be implemented soon. It says so in the Last.fm blog.
