I also wanted to add Disillusion but they've just started to write/record stuff and if it's going to like BTTOS they won't finish until the end of the next year. :( Symbyosis's new album is still in writing process...
Martyr is not confirmed but they played two new songs (Soul Assassins and Lethargy) on Trois-Riviére Metalfest. Drottnar was added because they haven't done anything in the past 4 years so maybe they are finally working on something.
No news about the next Empyrean Sky, Demons and Wizards, Carnal Forge albums for many months.
    Ark is broke up again.

JOIN US IN LISTENING TO A DIFFERENT GENRE OR THEME EACH WEEK. STARTING FRIDAY AT MIDNIGHT (going into Saturday), A NEW GENRE WILL BE RANDOMLY CHOSEN FROM A LIST. This is a great way for all to discover new music, and share it with one another. Listen for an hour, or the entire week, but LISTEN. You will not regret it.

NEW ADDITION ! We will now be choosing random participating members to pick a genre. During that week we will also check out that members charts + Local bands, and any music associated with the city/state/country where the chosen person lives.

ROUND II ! is Here !

For the second round of listening there will be a few changes, but the basic idea will stay the same.

New changes include: multiple weeks for larger genres of music, group members choices, featured instruments, and featured artists. I will be picking 7-10 artists per week to highlight so that I can get back to more focused listening. I will post the artists in the comment box, not here. Members are welcome to pick all, some or none of the featured artists to highlight for themselves.

    6-21-10

Another group I hope you all will become involved in:

    - THIS GROUP IS AN EXTENSION OF THE DIVERSITY GROUP HERE ON LAST.FM. ANYONE CAN USE IT, BUT THE IDEA IS THAT THE MEMBERS OF THE GROUP MAKE AN EFFORT AND PLAN IN PERSON GROUP MEETINGS AROUND THE WORLD ... We have been discussing the possibility of getting as many members of the group together in person for a European meeting and an American meeting in the next 1-3 years. More meetings will follow, in other parts of the World, but the first one must take place before the others can.

  • EAST COLFAX BAR CRAWL...(Denver Colorado) JOIN US ! Jan 21st, 2011

    Jan 15 2011, 4h03 por epi_gee

    Friday, January the 21st, 2011

... 3200 block of East Colfax near the Bluebird theater. 3 bars (maybe more) will be included. Mezcal, the Atomic Cowboy and Goosetown Tavern.

Meetings will start at Mezcal around 9pm... then as people start to show up, we will move next door to Goosetown Tavern, then late in the evening, cross the street to the Atomic Cowboy.

    MEZCAL : http://www.mezcalcolorado.com/ / 3230 East Colfax Avenue Denver, CO. 80206 • 303.322.5219

    Goosetown Tavern : http://goosetowntavern.com/ourhistory.htm / 3242 East Colfax Avenue Denver, CO 80206-1712 (303) 399-9703

    The Atomic Cowboy : http://www.atomiccowboy.net/ / 3237 East Colfax Avenue Denver, CO 80206-1711 (303) 377-7900

Mezcal is an authentic Mexican taqueria and cantina serving both award winning home-style Mexican food, fresh lime Margaritas and over 250 tequilas and Mezcals.

Mezcal’s warm décor, with Moroccan lamps and Mexican wrestling posters, embraces both traditional and popular elements of Mexican Culture.

Tequila tastings, special dinners and offbeat celebrations of holidays from North and South ofthe border ensure that the next party is just around the corner.

The Goosetown Tavern, opened in September 1998, is located at the south-west corner of Colfax and Adams in Denver’s Congress Park area, right across the street from the Bluebird Theater. The Goosetown Tavern is all about having fun. It features 12 beers on tap, a full bar, two pool tables and a delectable assortment of sandwiches, pizza, appetizers, soup and salads. Also, rotating artwork is a cornerstone to its mystique.

NEVER A FROWN IN THE GOOSETOWN!

Goosetown is named for a former bar of the same name in Golden, Colorado where German immigrants once communed. A German immigrant, Julius Shultz, originally built the Goosetown Tavern in 1873. Until its demise, the original Goosetown Tavern was the oldest continually licensed tavern in Colorado. It originally acquired its quirky moniker from the nickname of the community it served. The German immigrants who settled in the foothills around Golden brought with them their fondness for waterfowl and created many ponds and lakes to encourage migrating geese to stay in Golden. Their scheme worked and the district became known as Goosetown.

Upon demolition of the original bar in 1998 to make room for a parking lot, John Hickenlooper, founder of the Wynkoop Brewing Company, salvaged the front and back bars and booths in an effort to capture the essence of the original Goosetown Tavern and restored them to their present location.

the Atomic Cowboy has morphed from a late-night, post-concert fave into an all-day jack-of-all-trades spot. Two food purveyors inhabit the bar: From early in the morning into the afternoon, the Denver Biscuit Company cranks out biscuit sandwiches and platters for the local workforce; starting at lunch, Fat Sully's bakes greasy, huge pizza slices and pies for dine-in, takeout or delivery, and continues serving until the wee hours. As for the Cowboy itself, the cavernous joint comes fully stocked with a bi-level bar that features a daily happy hour (as well as daily specials), a trivia night, a few well-placed plasmas, pool tables and a slew of board games.
There aren't a lot of joints in Denver that have games. But the Atomic Cowboy is stocked with them. Lots of them. Chutes and Ladders. Candy Land. Monopoly. Taboo. Yahtzee. They're just a few reasons folks in groups seem to populate this spacious and lively Colfax bar. That, and the fact that they sport a decent selection of beers on tap, including local brews from Breckenridge Brewery and Great Divide. Oh, and it's a block west of the Bluebird Theater, which makes it an ideal spot for pre-show imbibing and even better after a gig, since Fat Sully's New York-style pizza, inside the Cowboy, serves up huge slices every day of the week until at least 1 a.m.

    Epi_Gee's EVENT GATHERINGS "Outings"/"Bar-Hops"

    Denver/Boulder/Front Range COLORADO.

BARS, VENUES, CONCERTS, EVENTS & GET TOGETHERS... this one is just for the adults.

Basically a bar-hop, except we will do more than just bars, and we will focus on one/two venue (s), club (s) or bar (s) per get together. Each meeting will be very different from the last, and I encourage EVERYONE to attend EACH EVENT.

In the course of a year we will explore a variety of music styles, concerts, social scenes and even non-music events that incorperate music. The meetings might take place in as diverse and extreme environments as concert venues, theaters, bowling alleys, warehouses, art galleries, strip clubs, pubs, gay bars, dance clubs, stretch limos, double decker buses and more...

Music styles will range from accoustical folk to death metal, hip-hop to be-bop, bluegrass to classical, country & western to goth... and all points in between.

The idea is to have fun, meet new people, and jump into new experiences with an open mind. Attendees should have a good attitude, and be very accepting of others cultures, styles and sexual orientations. Otherwise, don't attend.

Hope to see you all there !

    -E

P.S. Hey everybody ! Whether you are wanting to attend or not, on the events page, use the "select guests to invite" tab under the photo to invite people you want to bring with you... or that might want to attend. OR use the SHARE button under the title to post this event to your profile. The more the merrier at these events. THANK YOU

NEW ADDITION ! We will now be choosing random participating members to pick a genre. During that week we will also check out that members charts + Local bands, and any music associated with the city/state/country where the chosen person lives.

ROUND II ! is Here !

HERE IS WHAT HAS BEEN CHOSEN FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL WEEKS:

    HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!

    _____________________________________________

'IF YOU HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO FLEETWOOD MAC'S "RUMOURS' ALBUM WEEKLY SINCE 1977 !! AND YOU THINK DIVERSITY MEANS OCCASIONALLY GETTING OUT YOUR STEVIE NICKS 'BELLA DONNA' RECORD .. THIS GROUP MIGHT NOT BE FOR YOU'

"IF YOU THINK HOWARD JONES IS A KIND OF BREAKFAST SAUSAGE, THIS GROUP IS DEFINITELY NOT FOR YOU !"

"IF YOU THINK BOB MARLEY & THE WAILERS ARE THE FIRST AND ONLY GROUP TO PERFORM REGGAE MUSIC, THIS GROUP IS NOT FOR YOU"
